I DID IT!!!!

(amazing - Kaiser Craft paper, brads, rhinestones, Basic Grey Chipboard letters)
150+ layouts. Holy shit. That is a lot of scrappin'. A whole lot. I am vowing right now that this will NOT be one of my scrapbook goals for 2010. I will shoot for half that. Or none of that..... whatever. I am really glad that Haley put worth this challenge, but I think I have considerably different goals this year. All of the layouts here are old stuff. (Basic Grey Mellow patterned paper, brads, My Mind's Eye Kraft paper, Riff Raff Designs chipboard tree, Jenni Bowlin Bingo Card, Tim Holtz ticket, Jillibean Soup Journaling Sprout, Bo Bunny Brads, We R Memory Keepers Brad, Karen Foster Floss)

Some of it has been in my stash for years. And, I am happy with that. I am happy that I have accumulated enough that I can complete pages, be happy with them and at the same time hopefully reduce some of the clutter that is taking over my space. (PLAY BALL - Cosmo Cricket - patterned paper, chipboard, We R Memory Keepers - Brad, Walnut Stain Distress Ink)

I don't want to only use old stuff... and I know I will have a hard time keeping to the goal of not buying anything new until spring, but I also know that I am very fortunate to have what I do surrounding me in this room right now, and I can't very well purge every other room in our house, make the kids get rid of toys, and me not do the same. (avery byg - Scenic Route - patterned paper, Tim Holtz tickets, Prina - flowers, Bazzill Basics flowers, other flowers unknown, Doodlebug Designs- buttons, unknown eyelets, American Crafts Thickers)
So, I will happily use what I have. I will make do, and I think I will like scrapping with my friends better because I won't have as much crap to lug around!

(My Mind's Eye - patterned paper, chipboard, die cuts, brads, stickers, Jenni Bowlin - bingo card, SU! - grosgrain ribbon)
(Basic Grey - patterned paper, Prima - flowers, We R Memory Keepers - brad, Tim Holtz - tickets, SU! - grosgrain ribbon, other ribbon - unknown, journaling card - unknown)

So that is 2009 in a nutshell. I have been holding off on doing too much because I have a weekend away in February... and I can not wait!

Happy New Year and all the best in 2010!

Phew! Another Christmas done.....

well... we survived! Did you? Why is Christmas so hard, fun, chaotic, relaxing, stressful, hungover all in one?! We did Christmas Eve with my mother, sister, and brother in law. There was a lot of scotch.... and I drank a lot of rum. One has to cope, non? And then Christmas morning was just us..... and it was soooo good. Just the four of us... No rushing to get out the door, getting up and dressed when we wanted.... so good. And that afternoon we drove to Calgary to go to my sister and Aaron's for the yummy meal. It was a really good time. I was happy that we were all able to get together with very little external stress. I know friends of mine who have had a hard holiday season because they have been made to feel guilty about spending time with their family and friends, and are being pulled to be with their inlaws when that wasn't the original plan. In that manner, we are very lucky. We just alternate. And that is that.....
So, now that Christmas is done, I have lots to do. I have a lot of MNC stuff to get going on, as well as some well deserved me time that I am going to make work if I have to dig a hole China to get it. I also went out this morning and took a ton of hoar frost pictures..... The light was perfect, the snow/frost/whatever it is was thick and sparkly, and I think everything looks better covered in frost. I also think it is really deceiving... It looks nice out, the sun is shining and reflecting off the snow... and then you go out and freeze your fingers off.... but I got some awesome pictures.... so I guess it is a toss up!
So, off to find that me time I was talking about!

#147

I am so happy with how this layout turned out. Especially because it is all old stuff..... everything on this page has helped deplete my stash! The paper was given to me in Blairmore (Holla Christime!), the felt snowflakes were from SU! last year, the stickles and the brads... all old!

#146

This started out as a layout for a sketch challenge that is starting in the new year, but it ended up NOTHING like the sketch.... so, instead, I am including it as one of my 150...... I really have been on an roll these last couple of days, and I am so happy with how this one turned out. The page and embellishments are COVERED in stickles and glassy accents. COVERED. And I love it!

Layout # 145.....

I cleaned out my scrapbook room last week, and tucked away in a dark, dusty corner was my mojo! I knew I lost it somewhere, I was just really happy to find it again.
That said, I have been sneaking a few minutes here and there between wrapping gifts, finishing shopping, and other general mom duties to get a few pages done. This is with old Fancy Pants stuff from the summer, Prima and Bazzill flowers, old tickets, old buttons, brads and ribbon. I am gonna use up my stash if it kills me..... ;)

Does this Count?

Does a canvas count as a layout? If yes.... 145, if no, still 144.
I am planning on using this canvas every year for the kids' Santa pictures. I love how it turned out. I was a little leery about half way through because I wasn't sure you really could include flowers and snowflakes on the same project, but now it is done..... and I don't care if you can't. I love it!

Yet another Christmas Concert Success

I might be a wee bit biased, but every year I think that the little kids singing their part in the Christmas concert is the highlight of the night. This year the preschool and kindergarten kids sang together, and it was a hoot. They yelled, er, I mean, sang their hearts out. Of course, I think the best part was when all of the kids had left the stage and someone's daughter runs back onto the stage to yell, "Mom, we are going to do a puppet show!" and then ran off the stage again. Hmmmmm, weird. So this is Avery, her neighbor friend Gilbert, and Meghan, her best buddy. They were great!

I miscounted.

I went back and counted my layouts. I didn't number quite a few of them, and so, my count was off...... I already broke it to Haley, but I am actually at 142 completed layouts. (Not including MNC kits, and mini albums!) And now, with these two, I am at 144! I have six more layouts to complete to be at my goal! I actually think I might be able to do it. And if I can't, I don't care. Look how much I got done this year! No wonder I am pretty caught up. I should set a goal for 75 next year, and then maybe I won't have to volunteer to do other people's albums like I did this year!
So, once I figure out how to deal with my newly broken Clip it Up!, I will clear off an area in my scrapbook room, and get to work.
And, I have 36 Ikea spice jars with nothing in them anymore. I need suggestions as to what I should use them for. I took out all my flowers and buttons, and want something else to go in them. Something that I don't use enough of, but will use more of if I have it nice and handy. Suggestions? (Tara already suggested Epicure.......)

Dance Dance...... gotta love the family dance night!

So on Thursday night we went to the family dance in Champion, and the kids had such a great time. Avery ran and danced, and screamed, and danced some more. It was so awesome to watch her! Cohen, well... he stood in the midle of the gym and swayed back and forth. I had a great time snacking on Spinach Dip, and the kids put on a great dance routine to Viva La Vida! They made their mama proud.

Layout #131 - Must Boat

When I started this layout, I was not happy with it. I couldn't work the wallets into a collage that I liked, but once I started adding the MME embellishments, and the Riff Raff clouds and sun.... I couldn't not love it. I added a little Glimmer Mist to the clouds and the sun, and popped them up. I am super pleased with how this one came together.

Layouts #129 and 130

I am feeling the pressure. Haley is catching up, and this can only mean one thing. She is going to use it against me. I need to get to 150 first. So.... twenty more layouts in 20 days. I think I can I think I can........ I hope I can. Maybe I will shoot for 140. I don't think I have enough stuff to actually make 20 layouts. Yikes.

Layout #128

I accidentally downloaded some free digital Christmas paper. I don't know how it happened.... but I did. It was a huge mistake. All I have been doing since downloading that this morning is fiddling around with MDS by SU! Seriously! Do I have nothing else to do????
Anyhoo, this is something that I whipped up. I love it...... Even if Haley doesn't....... ;)

Proof that winter is really here......

Today is day three of this winter blizzard. The snow appears to have stopped, but now the cold has been blown in. It was chilly before, but now...... it is downright FREEZING. At least I can kind of see my neighbors now. Yesterday I couldn't see across my driveway, but today, I can see almost a half a kilometer away! Progress! Oops, I lied. I just looked out my window again.... and I can't see past my yard. Was this really in the forecast? Where was I?
So here are a couple of photos of what my yard looks like today. A lot of the drifts have actually blown away! They are a lot smaller this morning than they were yesterday afternoon...... Nothing that 36 hours of wind can't help out with!

This is my back door. Can't get out of it. I don't ever remember having this much snow in my entry area for the house. It is up to the steps! I have a little bit of shoveling ahead of me! At least I like to shovel..... but who knows? After this, I might not anymore!

A friend offered to come and plow our yard for me today. Grant is obviously gone, and if there was an emergency, I doubt we could get out of the yard, so I am truly grateful for that. Now, I just need it to clear up a little so I can leave the house and finish Christmas shopping!

Saturday, December 5, 2009

It's beginning to look a lot like hell .....

Holy cow! It is CRAZEEEEE out there. I couldn't leave my house if I wanted to. My door is blocked by a huge drift, my driveway is snowed and drifted over, and the door to the shop is equally blocked. I guess it really is December. I get that our winters are snowy and cold, and I don't usually complain about the weather because there is nothing you can do about it, but the wind was blowing so hard last night I could honestly feel my house moving. Kind of a freaky feeling. Anyhoo, I am going to spend the day in my scrapbook room. I have a room to tidy, totes to unpack, and then about 15 layouts to finish to get to Haley's goal...... At least I won't feel guilty about keeping the kids inside today.... Their playhouse is full of snow, and the drifts are almost as high as the roof.

Layouts #126 and #127

Off With His Head!
This was the damage done to poor little Nemo on Cohen's birthday..... I used Bo Bunny and SU! paper and am relatively pleased with how this turned out.... but two pages are hard!

So.... Haley set a lofty goal os 150 layouts. And now.... Haley is upset that many of my layouts are single page layouts, and hers are double page. So, I have included one of each...... just to prove that I do double page layouts every once in a while.... but I find them very difficult to do, which is why the majority of mine are single pages.

Anyhoo, this one of Avery didn't photograph very well.... It is a transparency over the whole page, so, it is next to impossible to get a picture without a reflection!

Layout #125

Sisters first.... friends forever. It took us a long time to get there. Why is it that you have to grow up fighting with your siblings only to find out that when you are older you have a lot in common, and that they always have your back, even when everyone else doesn't? My sister Nicole and I fought like cats and dogs growing up. We were always fighting. And now.... I would die without her. I can call her when I need to bitch about things I don't want to tell my friends, she will happily watch my kids for me, share clothes, and boost my self esteem when I really need it.
This was the last picture that the three of us will ever have taken at one of our weddings. This was Jani's wedding this summer.... and could I be any shorter?

Layout #123 & #124

Here are a few more layouts that I have recently completed. The first is with the new MME Life Stories Collection. Who doesn't love kraft paper????? It was perfect for pictures from my friend Amy's birthday party. It was a fun night... until I got home. But that is another story.
The second is with some Basic Grey Granola paper that I loved when it first came out, and then never really used. I thought it went really well with my Harvest Schmarvest layout. (Holla to Tara for that title btw...).
As for 150 layouts. I don't think I am going to get there by the end of the year...... it is December, and I have 26 to go to meet Haley's goal. Cross your fingers!
TFL!

Phew.... Nevember is done.

I am so glad that November is over. I don't think there were more than three days the whole month that we didn't have something going on. December is looking much more relaxed. Vegas was a blast, and I was lucky enough to get home from there, and turn right around and go scrapbooking for the weekend with four friends. We had a great time, with the exception of a few slips (like sleeping arrangements, mushroom allergies, and epic snoring), but other than that, it was a great time. Grant left for work this morning, and it really feels like he just got home. I am not looking forward to the next 18 days, but then we will have a nice long Christmas break. Christmas..... oh crap. So much for December being slack.
I will post pics of Vegas soon.... I just need to get brave enough to trudge outside in the snow to get my SD cards from my truck!

Vegas Baby!

One more sleep until Grant and I have the chance to spend some time together without kids, farm, dogs, or any other distraction. I can't wait. It has been well over a year since we actually had some quality time together.
I am really excited to be going, but honestly, I would be just as happy to drop the kiddies off at my parents' and come back home and sleep for four days. But alas.... I will be in Sin City instead.... oh well.
I will be back next week! I can't wait to scrapbook this trip!

Christmas Already??!!??

We started to set up for Christmas last night. When I was growing up, we didn't set up our tree until about a week before Christmas, but since marrying Grant, and buying an artificial tree, it seems that we set up for the holidays earlier and earlier every year. This year is no exception. It is the 19th of November and we have our tree up. However, this year's holiday decorating is all because of circumstance. Last night was the only night that we would all be home together before Grant goes back to work at the beginning of December. I curl tonight, have an epicure party at Tara's tomorrow and Saturday we head to Rimbey to drop off the kids. Sunday we leave for Vegas, and won't be home until Thursday, and then I am going scrapbooking for the weekend once we do get home. So, last night it was. That said, we aren't fully set up, and Avery is driving me insane by her constant badgering to put stuff on the tree (the decorations that I never put up, because they don't match my theme.... .yep, I am that mom), and wanting to decorate the house, even though we still have autumn decor still up.......That said, I did spend some time taking pictures last night, and I got this one of the kids! I love it, Grant thinks it is weird, but I think it actually showcases the love that my kids have for each other, and every once in a while will show to each other.......

toot toot!!

I usually don't like to toot my own horn, but I just have to on this one... I was recently asked if the My Mind's Eye blog could feature a couple of my layouts. Perhaps you heard me screaming.....????
Anyhoo, two of my layouts I completed with the Abbey Road Stomp line are on their blog.

10 Random reasons why I likely won't get any scrapbooking done this week... :(

1. I sub today, Avery has preschool, Grant is home tonight, and I am supposed to go to my Stampers 10 group....but I think I will have to skip that.
2. I sub tomorrow, & Avery has dance.
3. I sub on Wednesday, and it is Avery's special day at preschool.
4. I have a hair appointment on Thursday morning, and I curl that night.
5. Friday is Tara's epicure party at her house.... and I am the epicure girl.
6. We have to take the kids to my parent's house on Saturday, and I also have a portrait sitting booked that day in Rimbey.
7. We leave for Vegas on Sunday.
8. I have to get two sittings worth of photos to edit, and then deliver.
9. I have to get my scrapbook room organized so I can be packed and ready to go to the Bloomin' Inn on the Friday we get home from Vegas.
10. I still have a ton of laundry to finish, and then need to pack for the kids and ourselves.
11. I have epicure and discovery toys orders that need to be placed.
12. I have to get to the bank and buy some American money.
13. The house needs a major huge tidy fest.....

And there are a million more little things I have to do.....
So, really I should get my tushy off the computer and get cracking on the other stuff.

MME Blog Challenge

There is yet another challenge on the My Mind's Eye blog, and I jumped on it. It is once again a sketch challenge, and I am really happy with the way this layout came together. I used The Spider's Web line, and love how it turned out. The layout that I mentioned in my last post...

the one I spent a whole morning on and hated? Well, it is the same photo, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this one so much more. I also got a little wild and crazy and crumpled some acetate and then layered it over my photo. It makes it a lot harder to photograph, but looks really great up close!

TFL!

So, when we went scrapbooking in Blairmore a couple of weeks ago, everyone around me was packing up. I started to panic because I hadn't even thought about that yet, but I was constantly reassured, "Don't worry... you have an hour." or "I'm just packing up because I didn't want to start something new." or "Your stuff has to go in last anyhow, so don't panic."
So I didn't panic. But then, I started to see that I was the only one still scrapbooking. And I started to panic. You see, I wanted to actually accomplish something on Sunday. I spent a huge chunk of the morning on a layout that I ended up hating, and really has nothing going on on it, so, I thought, "Hey! Why not pump out a little mini album!" Seems easy enough, but time kept ticking, and I clearly wasn't working quickly enough, so needless to say, I had packed up everything except my basic tool kit, and some ribbon, and on our way home I was still scrapbooking........ diehard, you say???
Anyhoo, I finally got some pictures from Halloween printed to put on this puppy, and I really love how it all came together!
It is made with the MME Boo To You! line, and some random ribbons, and the name badge holders that you have to wear around your neck at conferences and such.
Cool huh?

A day at the zoo (#122)

When this paper first came out, Haley and I immediately started to plan a trip to Drumheller. Yep. We were going to go to Drum just to take some pictures of dinosaurs and hoodoos so we could scrapbook. Crazy. I don't think so. Needless to say, we still haven't made it to the museum, but I did have these pictures from our trip to the Calgary Zoo a couple of summers ago that are perfect!

Layout #121......creeping closer HMR.....

It has been a few days since I posted something that was actually mine to post, but this is a layout that I did with .... you guessed it.... the MME Stomp line. It worked so well with this picture of Avery at the cabin this summer, and the Rock On title... well, it was perfect too. When we first got to the cabin, and every day we were there, the kid spent hours and hours throwing rocks into the lake, looking for agates, collecting the perfect rock for skipping, and so, rocks were a big theme of that holiday..... ;)

10 Randoms.....things from the weekend.

So, the Weekend to Unwind has come and gone, and let me tell you. I didn't unwind. Nope. I think I might have even got a little wound up! I did stuff this weekend I have never done before, and learned a few things as well... so here goes.

1. 14 hours of hardcore, no talking, no real breaks for Nibs, get your hands dirty scrapbooking is a lot harder than it sounds. I am WORN out. But so happy about it.

2. Unfortunately, there are women in this hobby who take things way too seriously. I will share the punch with you. I promise. You don't have to a) hover over my shoulder to make sure I don't give it to someone else, or b) sigh heavily because I ask to borrow the punch you are not using, or c) get snooty when you ask for the punch that I have, and previously asked if anyone else needed it, or was everyone finished. Seriously ladies. It is a punch, and paper, and is supposed to be fun.

3. Bobby pins are harder to come by than I originally thought. And as a result, sometimes people confuse you for Pocahontas.

4. I can get a lot of Christmas shopping done in 20 minutes when I don't have my kids.

5. Even though I didn't have my "peeps" there with me this weekend, I had a really good time. (Most of the time.... when I wasn't wishing some people weren't so far behind.....)

6. It is okay to step out of your box. I learned a lot of new stuff.... and now I can use all of the product I bought a long time ago, and didn't know how to use. (Yep, I am that girl>)

7. I learned that after 13 hours of scrapping, and nearing exhaustion, I can still scream with major excitement when I think my name is called for a prize, and then come to my senses and realize it wasn't actually my name that was called.

8. Some people are wicked good at the things they do. Some look good, others make yummy cupcakes, others are cute and funny, some are crazy talented, and a few throw a wicked ass party.

9. I have a great mom. She understands my situation, and knows that a break is sometimes all it takes to rejuvinate me. She gives me that break.

10. I am impatient. Oh wait. I already knew that.

Phew! What a lot of work!

After working on the family canvas. I have never been so dirty.

Wow is all I have to say. I really didn't think scrapbooking could be that intense! I am truly exhausted from the day I had yesterday! I was up at 6am so I could be in Okotoks by my class time at 8:30. And I was home last night by 11:30. Four classes, tons of techniqes, and millions of tidbits of useful information. Truly worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY.
Haley sure did things up nice and purdy for the event, and I can't wait to see what Trisha come up with for the *ahem* future project. :)

I hoped that if I licked the Grand Prize and then told people I had H1N1, no one would want it.... the plan backfired.

One More Sleep!

Tomorrow night is the cocktail party at Sheep River Scrapbook Co. Trisha Ladouceur from MME will be there, and so will a ton of Crave cupcakes. (that in itself is reason enough for me to go....) Bevvys, make and takes, chocolate, MME goodness..... Seriously, does it get any better? Well, Saturday maybe. Because that is the day that I get to take four classes with Trisha. I can't wait. I have seen little snippets and sneak peeks at the projects, and I gotta say... I am so happy I have a spot in each class. I can't wait!!!!

#119 and #120 - thirty more to go!

So the challenge that Haley issued to herself and myself was to post 150 layouts in a year. I've got to tell you, I am starting to feel the pressure to get there.... after all, there are only two months left in this year..... I am going scrapbooking again on the last weekend of November, so hopefully I can accomplish a little then, and I still have a few more from my Blairmore weekend to post, but I am not going to stress too much, because Haley is much further behind than I am. Yep, I said it. So what?

# 118 from last weekend

I love love love this photo. It is one that I had a little fun with from my sister's wedding. I love the focal point on her bouquet. I also love that this allowed me to use some beautiful MME paper, and embellish with vibrant flowers. Simple, but classy I think.

10 Randoms.... Things that I am looking forward to in November

I can't believe that it is already November. I swear it was just the other day that Avery was telling me it was going to be October on her next preschool day. And now... it is November. So, this is a crazy month around the Cummins' place. There are a million things happening and the majority are things I am pumped about...

1. The Weekend To Unwind - My mom is coming here for a few days so I can spend a couple days at Sheep River Scrapbook Co., to learn things from My Mind's Eye endorsed educator Trisha Ladouceur. Hell's yeah! Can't wait.

2. My mom is coming here..... even a teensy tinsy break is in my future on those days. I might even sleep in!

3. Curling on Thursdays. I am so glad the curling season is underway. I am not as glad that we may or may not have a real team..... I am hoping that we can figure things out so we aren't curling with spares every single week... but for the moment, that is what it looks like.

4. Turkey Supper - tonight, at the United Church in Vulcan. (That is, unless Catpoo starts to feel like, well.... poo.)

5. A cut and color. It isn't bad yet. But it also isn't good. One side of my hair is quite short... or is supposed to be, but it is growing over my ears, and it getting quite mullety on one side. So.... I need to get that done.

6. The 16th.... That is the day that Grant comes home from work, I have SU!, and Catherine is taking Cohen for the afternoon so I can sub.....

7. Scrapbooking in Pincher Creek at the end of November. Ahhhh.... you would think I hadn't just gone away for a weekend. Yahoo!!!

8. The kids' Christmas gifts have shipped. And the best part.... We didn't have to pay for them! Good old airmiles came in handy again this year! Last year I used them for Grant's gift, and this year, we got something each kid wanted with them. Double yahoo!

9. Las Vegas Baby!!!! We leave for four nights on the 22nd. I can not wait. I am so excited. We got a great seat sale, have reservations at the Mirage hotel, and it is just the two of us. I can't wait for some quality time with my hubby. We both really need it.

10. Some retail therapy. I have some gift cards, and coupons left from my birthday, and I really really really want to spend some money.......

So.... there you have it!

I hate Halloween, but I love digital scrapbooking!

I have to admit. I am hooked. I spent a good portion of the morning downloading a couple of digital kits, and a ton of freebies as well. I can't believe how economical it is to scrapbook this way. I know it will never replace my real albums, but I love that I can whip something up in a matter of minutes. I am finding that because I am new to this, there are several things I don't know how to do, and that I am sure there are ways to do other things that I would like to try, I just don't know how to do it, or where to find the stuff. That said, I am now going to search for some cutesy Superman and Lady Bug stuff so I can do the kids' pages too!
TFL!

I hate Halloween

sorry... I really do. I apologize to all of the Halloween lovers out there. But, to me, this holiday is too stressful. I would rather host Christmas for my entire family than deal with Halloween. I hate the costume part. I hate having to come up with amazing costumes. I also hate when people dress up and you can't tell who it is, and they won't talk to you and it is creepy. Really creepy. I don't mind the candy. At least I didn't until we found out about Avery's peanut allergy. That adds an element of frustration to the night as well. Fortunately, the majority of our neighbors know and are considerate of her allergy and will make special bags just for her, but still...... there is a lot of stuff we have to get rid of immediately. Pumpkin carving might be the only thing I really like about it. So, these are our pumpkins that we carved lat night. I think they turned out pretty awesome... So, today is the day. We have a Halloween birthday party to go to, and then we need to hurry home so we can take the kids to the lodge in town to see a couple of our neighbors who recently moved in there, and then and drive around the countryside.....
Happy Halloween - especially to those of you who really enjoy this holiday.

A couple more from the weekend..... (#117 and #118)

These are a couple more layouts I completed when I was in Blairmore last weekend. I can't believe a whole week has gone by since then. I had such an awesome time. I am still laughing about some of the things we did that weekend.... But in addition to laughing, I did get a little accomplished, and here are two more....

This was taken this summer at Miles' first birthday. The paper was absolutely perfect for this layout. I really like the PDQ stuff, because you don't have to do much to make a wicked page.

This layout is for Jani's wedding album. It is of her and our grandma. I really like how this came together. I think it is classy in a funky way. If that is possible.

Layout #115 - Another digital one

This is the second digital layout that I have done in the last two days..... I think I am in love.

I don't know if this is too crazy, but I kind of like it.... I downloaded a ton of stuff today. Paper, elements, embellishments, kits.... and freebies. Ah.... I love a good freebie! This was done with some of the stuff I found on http://www.peppermintcreative.com/ today. Some really nice stuff..... i think I am in trouble.

My Digital Studio Layout (#114)

My friend Catherine recently signed up to be a SU! demonstrator, and thank goodness, because the previous SU! demo I had sucked. She wasn't creative, and really didn't try very hard. I can say this because I was that demo. Catherine on the other hand is ridiculously creative. She always has a million uses for her stamps on top of all the amazing cards she makes. Anyhoo, she recently purchased the SU! My Digital Studio program, and she instantly fell in love. I didn't buy it, because I am not convined I want to be a digital scrapbooker. To be honest, I really do spend a lot of time in front of my computer, and this would just be another excuse to do so. So, Catherine offered to let me try it out instead. And, now I think I need to buy it. Great... it was my month in our group last month. Why didn't I buy it then????
The program is so very easy to use. I think that the designers took all of the confusing or problematic things from other design studios, and fixed them all for this program. I am honestly impressed, and I didn't think I would be.

So, this is what I whipped up earlier this evening. I had no idea what I was doing. There were no instructions for me to read, I just fiddled around, and came up with this! I am quite pleased with the final result. Now, I just have to get it printed, to see if it really is all it is cracked up to be.....

TFL!
